I did the first installation but my xhorse dolphin ii key cutter doesn’t decode the keys. Fiat Idea SIP22 blank.
You didn’t put the key in the clamp correctly.
Key needs to sit higher in clamp on top level.
Re-adjust the key in the m5 clamp.
The shoulder of the blade is your stop point at the jaw.
This is how you must place the key.
What’s the difference between 2023 new Xhorse dolphin xp005 (without battery version) and old Dolphin XP005 (with battery version)?
New Dolphin XP005:
1. Without built-in battery. Works with or without battery.
If need battery, you can buy an optional battery for dolphin.
If without battery, you can take out for work by car.
2. Comes with M5 clamp in default (M5= M1+M2)
Old Dolphin XP005:
1.Come with built-in battery. Works only with built-in battey. Cannot work without battery.
2. Old dolphin comes with M1 and M2 clamps in default. Also compatible with M5 clamp (purchase separately.)
Apart from that, they make no difference in appearance and functions.
Xhorse Condor II key cutting machine had error code 57.
The probe is short-circuited.

Since I’ve used the ZD24R LISHI to pick and decode a Can-Am Spyder 3-wheel motocycle ignition, so next I’m going to cut the key with Xhorse Dolphin XP005 by bitting. In case to wreck a pretty expensive key blank, I would try X270 TMC1 key for a test at first. The bitting codes decoded by LISHI is 232234.
Cut by bitting >> Silca – ZD24R >> ZD24R, 6 bitting, 770*2350
M1 clamp Shoulder align.
This type recommend use 1.5mm to cut.
Input the bitting codes: 232234
Put and fix the key on M1 clamp according to prompts.
Cut key >> Cut
Dolphin XP005 machine starts cutting automatically.
Get the key out when cutting completed.
It’s working perfectly in ignition.
It should be noted in particular here this Can-Am ignition is from 2011 or 2012, it’s wide open and easy to get the keyway. The key can work with no problem at all.
But some of the newer ones starting like 2019/2020/2021, this black bezel here that actually covers most of this ring. So either have to pop that off or what I like to do is just to cut the head of key off.
When you try to put the key in, it stops on the bow of the key and it won’t go all the way in. So you may think your cuts are wrong. Just cut the whole head of key off, test it and make sure it’s working here before cutting.
This is how to cut ZD24R key with Dolphin successfully, you may use the newer Dolphin II Key Cutting Machine to do the job as well.

Problem: The Xhorse Dolphin XP005 Key Cutting Machine can’t work normally, it gave a clamp calibration “Error: 35” message.
“Error: The end tip of the probe is beyond the cutter.
- Please confirm that the clamp is correct;
- Do again of height level adjustment.”
What’s the matter? Please help.
- Pull the probe down a little bit;
- Follow the prompt to do again height level adjustment.

Xhorse Dolphin XP005 and XP005L released new database version V127 on Oct. 18th. 2023.
There is an update for that blade fixed. This version fixed Renault VA2EH2 key cutting issue.
I had the issue last week with same blade.
After updating it to latest software it was all fixed.
You can use universal key duplication option if you have a working key.
Some users reported that Xhorse Dolphin XP005/XP005L had bugs when cutting VA2/VA6 key blanks in the last update.
The problem was solved by the last update. V1.7.4 came out and fix the va6 issue.
Update the firmware to 1.7.4 or Dolphin machine and update also the Xhorse app.
Just cut a VA6 I decoded the key Q-H then cut as normal.
so I tried again with the same key but this time I noticed a new item in the menu just before you click cut (See Photo)
I ticked this and cut the key again (you have to tick it on both cuts)
Put it in the lock and it worked.
on the 2nd cut it took a fraction more off one side and the back end of the key
But it worked in the lock.
I connect my Xhorse Dolphin XP005L to a phone via Bluetooth, it keeps disconnecting by itself. after that i connect back then it immediately disconnects. Firmware and database are up to date.
I also use the machine with key tool plus. he has disconnected with it a total of 1 time so far. it is much rarer there. Any solution?
Update firmware and database to latest version, then connect with Xhorse App.
If all versions are up to date, but Bluetooth still constantly disconnecting, the problem would be the WiFi module on the mainboard.

My Xhorse Condor xc-mini plus machine doesn’t record but time and date, would it have a battery inside or something? I’ve already dismantled where it gave here and I haven’t found it?
Replace the button battery (CR1220) on the motherboard.
Step 1. Remove screws on the screen and the back cover, and take them away.
Step 2. The motherboard on the left is tightened by 3 hexagon screws, which requires an extended handle or a long-handled hexagon wrench to take it out.
Step 3. When you take out the motherboard, you’ll see the button battery (CR1220).
Step 4. Replace the battery and restore everything.
Step 5. Turn on the machine, adjust the time setting, and everything should be fine.
BTW, such procedures (that require taking the machine apart) Under Our Guidance won’t affect its warranty.
