VAG Cluster Bench Connection Pinout for Xhorse VVDI2


I have s Skoda supreb 2012 which has one working smart key (orignal key MEGAMOS ID48), car push start button. Customer need another key so i program xhorse vvdi smart key with vvdi2 vag but end process in cluster dispalys 0-2.  0-2 mean no key learned still in programming mode. Key not program with near push start & original key only remote work, not ignition & not start.  I have saved original immo data from vvdi.

Than i remove odo & read nec24c64 eeprom & autel do automatic service mode & then write eeprom via obd & make cs, pin , mac. but end of same key not program.









Read 24c64 direct in PCB in a programer.
Put dump in service mode in vvdi2 and write back in the eeprom in programer.
it vvdi2 read the eeprom and then write the original eeprom previously read it the programer.
read the immo data and them write the backup you have of the immo data.

Need to learn 2 keys.
Original and new key.
You put key quantity 2
Reset instrument cluster
If it works this will allow you to restore the cluster to its original state!
You need original brand new keys or xhorse proximity key to the this job.
If vvdi prepare new dealer key them you have to add both key original and new using immo data option.

Connect the cluster on the bench with vvdi2 and do the steps above.
vvdi 2 allow direct connection to the cluster, only need connect power and ground to the cluster and CAN  lines.

i try xhorse smart key & make dealer key & info with vvdi 2 = MEGAMOS 48 [ LOCKED] . I read orignla key detail = MEGAMOS 48 = TP24 [ SKODA ]
but when i make dealer key some error
the new key id checksum error , this key cat be learn to car

then i learn key one original learn ok 1/2 , second new one fail & again car off
again do all make service mode & back immo data & again car start with original key







Then i made vvdi super chip transpoder memamos 48 tp-24.
than lean key one original & one only transponder, all 2/2 success & original remote also work.

But second key only transpoder no remote.

vvdi2 proximity remote may support but my vvdi2 serial number has Chinese database so today change to EU database and try


Finally i change my sn to global database & make proximity remote & write. All success.

How to Clone 2015 Toyota Corolla Key with VVDI Super Chip

Today I’m gonna be cloning a Xhorse Super Chip by using VVDI Mini Key Tool for the 2015 Toyota Corolla key here.


So basically I have to put the key in the Mini Key Tool coil, super chip right on here. I already turned it on.






Then go to Mini Key Tool menu in Xhorse app,


Press “Transponder clone”


Put transponder into coil position as the picture shown, press “Read transponder”.







Follow the prompts to operate:

  1. Put original key into Mini Key Tool to recognize;
  2. Put the xhorse super chip into Mini Key Tool coil to initialize;
  3. Server calculated data;
  4. Transponder clone.






Detected vvdi super chip.

Initialize completed.

Calculate success.

Successful copy.









Actually I don’t have to wipe it out, with super chip you can just override it any time you want and it’s done.


Okay, let me hold the blade key with super chip on it to start the car. It can turn on the engine and works perfectly.







This is how to use Xhorse Mini Key Tool to copy a super chip from 2015 Toyota Corolla.

Xhorse VVDI2 Program Golf 4 Transponder Key via Super Chip

This is an operation tutorial of how to use Xhorse VVDI2 VAG key programmer and vvdi super chip to program a key for VW Golf 4.



Start up VVDI2 quick start, click VW, wait until connecting to device successfully.


Special function >> K-line instrument/immobox >> Read EEPROM


Connecting to device, please wait…


Start transfer/receive data…


Reading address…


Reading data success.


Copy the PIN code 04376, close the window, go access to “Transponder Programmer”.











Click “Autodetect Transponder” to get transponder information.


VVDI super chip >> Set transponder type >> MEGAMOS 48 >> Reset VVDI super chip >> Yes















Exit to click “Autodetect Transponder”, the transponder information has changed.


VVDI super chip >> Set transponder type >> MEGAMOS 48 >> Set


Setting Xhorse super chip type…success


Exit to click “Autodetect Transponder” again, the transponder information is same as first time.









Close the window, go back to VW


Key learn >> Key learn


Paste the pin code 04376 on “Login(PIN)”, click “Learn”.


Switch ignition off for 5 seconds, then switch on, click “OK”.


Switch off ignition. Insert every key to ignition and switch on at least 2 seconds. Click “OK”.


Adaption finished.

How to rewrite VVDI super chip XT27A66 multiple times with Xhorse VVDI Mini Key Tool? Here we go to make a quick demonstration for reference.


Start up Xhorse app, connect it with Mini Key Tool, put xhorse super chip into the coil:

Transponder clone >> Read transponder









This is original information from XT27A66 chip, let’s go back to main page to rewrite it:


Generate transponder >> ID60~ID70(40bits) >> 65-Suzuki/Subaru >> Generate


Transponder generate success, press “Complete”.















Go back to read the XT27A66 chip again: Transponder clone >> Read transponder


As you seen, the information has been changed.




Okay, go back to select another car model to have a try:


Generate transponder >> ID46(PCF7936) >> ID46-Indian cars >> Indian Suzuki >> Generate

Alright, the information has been changed again. Rewriting XT27A66 super chip is successful!


Xhorse Super Transponder XT27A66 can be reused for several times. Working with VVDI Mini KeyTool is quite easy and efficient.

How to Set VVDI Super Chip to TP23 for Golf 5?

Why we cannot set super chip xt27 to TP23 with vvdi mini key tool. In menu i don’t have the option to set TP23.
Before this option was active,now its not possible ?
Yes, you can set vvdi super chip to TP23.
Do not select Special Function, but go to Generate Transponder option and go to ID48.


Go to ID48 and then it will give you a choice as to which one you want, Audi, VW, Skoda, Seat
i.e  if you want TP23 chip to use on golf 5, select Golf 5 -> mini online clone , use normal id48 or super chip, no need for precoded, normal id48 chip = 1 euro.
but you can also set one chip Tp23 and program with other working programmers.

VVDI Key Tool Cannot Generate 4D64 Chip Solution

Can i generate Dodge 4D64 using vvdi super chip? I have checked the super chip available list that 4D is supported. But I failed to generate 4D64 chip using the old VVDI Key Tool.

VVDISHOP solution:
You should update your VVDI Key Tool firmware to latest V3.3.1 using Xhorse Upgrade Kit.
Your version 3.2.9 has some bugs.
Update your firmware and try again. It works no problem.
VVDI Mini Key Tool works good on 4D64 using XT27 chip as well.

Xhorse Super Chip Better than NXP chip in the wireless remote

Xhorse vvdi super chip supports more chips than nxp chip in wireless remote??
XT27 chip supports much more chips than the nxp chip.
nxp chip can only support 46 47 clone.
nxp chip can’t support 4D and 4C 8A clone, better use  super chip.

VVDI super chip and TK5561 Which is better?

Question: It’s a pity if VVDI key tool can’t write on TK5561. They are still available here and there…
1) TK5561 cost $30 for 1.
VVDI super chip $26.99 for 10.
Not a huge problem if it doesn’t write to TK5561.
if you have some TK5561 already in stock waiting for some clients then it is a problem because instead of Keytool you have to use other tools to write them.
Well of course you probably will have those tools already in this case but still would be good if Keytool was able to support the original chips which are still available.

Used with VVDI2 v6.5.0 or newer version, VVDI KEY TOOL, VVDI MINI KEY TOOL.
How-to’s of VVDI Super Chip + VVDI2 copy Toyota 8A chip:
Put the original key into the coil of Handy Baby 2, it displays Toyota 8A chip.
Put the original key into the coil of VVDI2;
Put the new remote key (with Xhorse VVDI Super Chip ) into the coil of Handy Baby 2, it displays 8E chip.
Take out the VVDI Super Chip 8E chip.
Connect VVDI2 (with the original key in the coil) to the computer, starts to copy.
VVDI2 identifies the original key info:
Chip type: Tiris DST AES (8A).
Configuration parameter: Toyota H chip (128bit) – Corolla
Click on “Start to copy”.
1). Put the original key into the coil of VVDI2 to read out the key data.
2). Take out the original key from the coil of VVDI2 key programmer.
3) Put the remote key with the VVDI supper chip into the coil of VVDI2.
Writing into the data, it takes about 15 seconds.
4) Online password calculation ( It will deduct 200 bonus points per time for Toyota H chip generation)… Succeed.
5). Writing the data, please wait…
Copy successfully.
Again, put the Xhorse VVDI Super Chip into the Handy Baby 2, it reads out 8A chip.
