How to Choose Xhorse VW Golf 7 Not Prox Key?

Question:

VW Golf 7 not proximity key, which remote control do I choose on Xhorse? my smart remote have not a Blade Key ….

Solution:

I’ve used this one with smart remote works great.

There is a smart remote with flip blade looks like mqb that’s in picture

Note: Xhorse MQB key not support make dealer key by other devices. Use VVDI2 to make dealer key only.

There are 2 types of Xhorse MQB keys:

XSMQB1EN Xhorse VW MQB Smart Proximity 3 buttons

XKMQB1EN VW MQB Flip Transponder Key 3 Buttons

Program Skoda Octavia MQB 2017 Key using VVDI2 MQB Smart Key

Topic: how to add one new key for Skoda Octavia MQB 2017 Remote Key via Xhorse VVDI2 & Xhorse MQB remote key XSMQB1EN.

This is Xhorse XSMQB1EN remote key with 3 buttons:

This is working original remote key:

Insert the original remote key to ignition and turn on.

Connect VVDI2 to Skoda Octavia via the OBD2 cable, open the VVDI2 software, click on “Diag” to read out VAG number, version, instrument type etc.

Click on “Read IMMO data”.

Click on “Ok”.

Choose login method 1, then “Next”.

The dashboard is dark…Please read the 7 tips, and click on “OK”.

Click on “OK” to use “Reset Instrument” to active instrument after all the operation is finished.

Click on “Save file”.

Click on “Reset Instrument” until you can see “Reset success”.

Press “OK” to load immodata.

Select “Skoda”, then option 2 ” Make OEM key with “VVDI Proximity remote”.

Click on “Check working key position”.

Pull out the original key from the ignition, and input it into the VVDI2 programmer.

Select “Key 2.”.

Finally click on “Next”.

Click on “Yes”, then “Add key”, then “Yes”

Click on “No” to not save the synchronize data.

Input MQB remote to VVDI2 programmer and continue. (“VVDI2 proximity remote” use VVDI2 transponder programmer -> prepare proximity remote” can prepare MQB remote).

Prepare dealer key success. Please learn the new dealer key to car.

Click on “Add key” and get message ” you should backup EEPROM and immodata before learning key.”

Input key number “2” then click on “Load immo data”.

Click on “Next”.

Car has no keyless.

Insert the dealer key into car and switch on for at least 2 seconds. the time for change key should smaller than 5 seconds. Press Okay button after all key is learned.

Then click on “OK”.

Start learning…

All keys successfully learned.

Test dealer key remote works or not.

Done.

Thanks to VVDI2 and the Xhorse MQB Remote key. They did a good job to add remote key for Skoda Octavia MQB 2017.

VVDI2 2015 Skoda Octavia MQB Mileage Correction Guide

Here’s an example of odometer (mileage) correction in the car Skoda Octavia 2015 (VAG MQB platform). The procedure is carried out with the Xhorse VVDI2 VAG key programmer.

Original mileage: 66,612KM

Open VVDI2 software

Select Key Learn->MQB platform instrument immobilizer->Instrument with NEC35xx (Continental/VDO)

Click on Diag to load vehicle information

Instrument version 2210

Instrument type: MQB NEC35xx Continental VDO

You can read eeprom and save it first.

Click on read KM

Read odometer success.

Manually enter odometer you desired

Click on Write KM

Switch ignition on with working key before press OK. If car has Keyless Go, put the working key nearly car coil and switch on.

Choose security login: Login Method 2 (because software version of the dashboard belong to 2210)

Write data success.

Use “Reset instrument” to active instrument after all the operation is finished.

Reset success.

Check mileage on dashboard

Clear ABS fault codes with VVDI2 software

Done.

Program Skoda Octavia 2015 MQB Keyless Go with VVDI2 VAG

Here’s an example of programming a smart key in the car Skoda Octavia 2015 (MQB platform VAG) using Xhorse VVDI2 VAG key programmer.

Open VVDI2 VAG software

Select Key Learn->MQB platform instrument immobilizer->Instrument with NEC35xx (Continental/VDO)

Click on Diag to load vehicle information

Instrument version 2210

Instrument type: MQB NEC35xx Continental VDO

Read EEPROM data and save

Switch on with working key before press ok

If car has keyless Go, put the working key nearby car coil and switch on

Choose Login Method 2, the car software for dashboard belong to 2210

Press Next to continue

1. The dashboard is dark when you see this tips. You need finish all operation before reset instrument.
2.Read EEPROM and save it.
3.Read IMMO data and save it.
4. Prepare a dealer key (You can go to step 7 if have working key aslo
don’t want to add key)
5. Reset instrument
6. Add key use immo data to learn the new dealer key to car
7. Finish other customer requests.

Save eeprom

Click on Read Immo data and then save it

Select Maker Dealer Key->Skoda

If prepare normal dealer key, follow instructions below:

Here we select Prepare OEM key

Prepare OEM key: need special key or OEM key. You must provide an original key ID to prepare OEM key. The OEM key can do online operation. OEM key can start engine directly for 4th immo system.
For 5th immo system need learn again.

Select key position 3

Press Next to continue

Input original working key to VVDI2 and press OK

Input OEM key to VVDI2 key programmer and continue.

Use “Reset instrument” to active instrument after all the operation is finished.

Click on Add key

Select Learn key, login with security code from immo data. Put the key into ignition switch on accord flowing tips. You must prepare all the working key.
Select key number to learn: 2
Press Next

Confirm car has keyless.

Put the dealer key nearby car ignition switch and switch ON dashboard before continue

First key learn succeed

Learn second key with VVDI2

Test the remote control and start car.

Success.

Program Seat Leon MQB Smart Remote Key using VVDI2

A Spanish VVDI2 VAG user has successfully programmed a remote smart key on a Seat LEON MQB system. Here’s some operation steps provided.

At this moment, VVDI2 MQB key is not available yet, so he used 5G0959752BC from ali (Works for all the cars, VW Polo need to use 5G0959752BB.)

Open VVDI2 VAG software

Select Key Learn->MQB platform instrument immobilizer->Instrument with NEC35xx (Continental/VDO)

Click on Diag to load vehicle information

Read EEPROM/FLASH data and save

Turn ignition on with the original key

Follow these steps to program key:

1. The instrument box is off while you are reading these instructions. You need to reset instrument after completing the process
2.Read EEPROM and save
3. Read immo data and save them.
4. Dedicate key to the vehicle (you can go to step 7 if you have a working key and also do not want to add keys)
5. Reset instrument box
6. Add key. use the immo data to program the new key
7. Finish process

Reset “instrument box” to activate the box after finishing the process

Make Dealer Key

Select brand: Seat
in this case we will use the second option

Attention: If you have the dedicated key in a normal way it will not support coding ONLINE or changes in the immobilizer of the following units:

01-Engine

02-Gearbox

17-Instruments

9-CAN Gateway

28-Electrical Steering Column Lock
We recommend selecting the OEM option, which has the same ID as the original keys, will support the
ONLINE operations.

Are you sure to make a normal Seat key?
If you are sure you have selected the correct brand press “YES” to continue, if you do not press “NO”

Place the new key into the VVDI2 antenna and press OK

Make key success. Please program the new key to the vehicle.

Use “Reset instrument” to reset the box after all operations

Attention: You must make a backup of the eeprom before programming keys.

If you have a security copy you can continue, if you have not copied before immo data, press NO

Select second option to learn key. login with security code from car. Put the key into ignition switch on accord flowing tips. You must prepare all the working key. If the key not learned, it can not start the engine after learned.

Inter leaning key number: 2

2 keys should all be learned

Key learn success.

Test the remote control and start vehicle with the new key.

Working.

VVDI2 Change Seat Leon III MQB mileage

New test feedback: done Seat Leon 3 / Golf 7 MQB mileage correction with Xhorse VVDI2 VAG 5.2.1 success.

Open VVDI2 software

Select Seat->Key Learn->Immobilizer of instrument platform MQB-> instrument with NEC+24C64 MQB key

Click read data, auto detect vehicle type etc

Click on Read KM

Current mileage: 500KM

check odometer on instrument, it is the same

Enter the mileage you desired:118090KM

Click on Write KM

Accept VVDI2 warning messages

The dashboard indicators go off during the procedure, it is normal.

Success.

VVDI2 Seat Leon 3 MQB odometer correction is done.
