Xhorse Multi Prog Cannot Connect to Nissan EDC17CP51 ECU Solution

Problem:

EDC17CP51 – Nissan Titan XD.
When attempting a connect, Xhorse Multi-PROG seems to reboot, and connection fails. (With or without P3 connected to PCB as illustrated. If pin 65 (12volt) is removed, no reset occurs, but the connection is still unsuccessful.

Solution:

Need a power supply for your multiprog.

Use 12V power supply.

 

 

UPDATE: external bench power supply resolved this issue.

Tips to Clone Audi BCM2 Module with Xhorse Multi Prog

Is it possible to clone Audi BCM2 Audi D70F3634 with Xhorse Multi Prog?

 

With newest adapters can clone.

If BCM2 module is unencrypted,  to clone all you need is flash and eeprom.
Yes with new bcm2 version adapter. It can clone data without that for same hardware version module.
Old adapters not read full data, so cannot use them like that. But both, old and donor module must be same hardware version.

If BCM2 module is encrypted, you also need VVDI Key Tool Plus for online calculation. Read Data1 and Data2 with Multi Prog, then load them in to Key Tool Plus, after calculation you get 2 files: Service File and Key (immo) file. Write Service File into New (reused) bcm2. Done.

Problem:

I want to clone this Chevrolet Cruze BCM D70F3469 using Xhorse multi prog, but I’m getting this error.

Error: Chip configuration failed. Error code 08030201. Crystal frequency does not match.

Solution:

Check your connections.  Need a 120 ohm resistor between the two CAN H and L wires. Between CAN H and L, just jumper those wires with the resistor.

A 120 ohm resistor is required on the CAN L and H wires, since their communication uses the resistance security system, implemented in the communication network of these units. This is intended to provide additional protection against diagnostics from the OBD2 port. If the circuit is opened by resistance, communication with the corresponding modules is lost. If you want to scan the vehicle and certain modules don’t communicate, by sheer logic, everything is derived thanks to the diagnostic protocol.

Here comes the Xhorse multi prog feedback on PSA DCM6.2A ECU.

PEUGEOT DCM6.2A BIG IMPROVEMENT.
Write today another ecu from PSA DCM6.2A with multi prog, and see really HUGE improvement… some months ago when i write such of ecus it takes almost 15 minutes and i had and warning message from the tool.
