Problem:

Install Xhorse multi prog on a fresh Windows 10 system.  After database download, this error pop up.

Error:

“Corruption

Solution:

Your software version is very old. You use 1.0.8.0 so is far far old.

Very old software might fail to do update, download latest one.

Latest software is 1.3.1.0 (till Sep. 10th, 2025).

Equipment: Soldering iron, fine gauge wire, Torx and 10mm sockets.

 

Step 1: Remove the SRS Module

1. Disconnect the vehicle’s battery and wait 10+ minutes.
2. Locate the SRS module under the center console.
3. Remove the safety clip and unplug the electrical connector.
4. Unbolt the module (10mm bolts) and carefully remove it from the vehicle.

 

 

 

 

Step 2: Prepare the Module for Reading/Writing

1. Open the metal casing of the SRS module to access the main PCB.
2. Identify the correct chip and solder points. The target is the R7F701021 microchip.
3. Solder wires to the necessary points on the PCB as per the diagram below.

After installing the Audi BCM2 V2 adapter, connect adapter with multi prog or key tool plus via the 16-pin cable in the package.

There are two adapters in the BCM2 V2 adapter package, one for multi prog and another for key tool plus.

With the BCM2 adapter v2, you don’t need to connect to the power supply. 

For multi prog:

Connect Audi BCM2 adapter with multi prog via this multi-prog adapter 16-pin cable.

For vvdi key tool plus:

Problem:

Trying to read VAG MQB D70F3532 cluster with xhorse multi prog and XDNP83 MQB solder free adapter. It failed to read. Software said chip configuration failed and the crystal frequency does not match. What this error code means?

 

 

 

Solution:

Power supply issue.
Connect the 12v power supply to the adapter.

On the diagram it says it’s not necessary to connect 12v for XDNP83. But you still need to connect power supply to the adapter in this case.

Problem:

I can’t click on read in the Xhorse Multiprog software. its greyed out.
I try it on a different pc too, same problem.

 

 

Solution:

The new update add 1 new button in menu: Connect.

To read and write you have to connect to the ECU fist.

So the read and write buttons are grey.
